Kerić families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Sibenik , also Serbs and Bosniaks (from middle Bosnia). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Sibenik and Zagreb. In Gornje Krčevine in Middle Bosnia every second inhabitant had the family name Kerić.
Prevalence
About 110 people with faimily name Kerić live in Croatia today, in 60 households. There were 100 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 10 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 18 cities and 13 other places, mostly in Zagreb (20), Split (20), Komletinci in Vinkovci area (<10), Zadar (<10), and in Vukovar (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
