In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Hrvatska Kostajnica area and in Sisak. In Kepčije in Hrvatska Kostajnica area every third inhabitant had the family name Kepčija.
Prevalence
About 70 people with faimily name Kepčija live in Croatia today, in 40 households. There were 190 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased significantly. They are located in 7 Croatian counties, in 9 cities and 5 other places, mostly in Kepcije (20) and Dvor (10) in Hrvatska Kostajnica area, Zagreb (<10), Vukovar (<10), and in Daruvar (<10).
