In Croatia, Kekuš families are mainly Croats (from Petrinja ), less frequently Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Petrinja and Zagreb. In Dodoši in Petrinja every third inhabitant had the family name Kekuš.
