Keškić families are usually Croats and they are mostly from middle Bosnia , rarely Bosniaks (from Cazinska Krajina Region, Bosnia). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Middle Bosnia (Kupres area) and in Cazins Region, Bosnia (Bihac area). In places Zvirnjača and Lupoglav in Middle Bosnia every sixth inhabitant had the family name Keškić.
Prevalence
About 220 people with faimily name Keškić live in Croatia today, in 90 households. There were 10 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 27 cities and 32 other places, mostly in Zagreb (65), Vodjinci in Vinkovci area (25), Zadar (15), Vinkovci (15), and in Knin (10).
