Jurović families are Croats and they are mostly from Mursko Sredisce. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Mursko Sredisce and Cakovec.
Prevalence
About 120 people with faimily name Jurović live in Croatia today, in 60 households. There were 170 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 20 percent. They are located in 8 Croatian counties, in 11 cities and 22 other places, mostly in Sveti Martin na Muri in Mursko Sredisce area (20), Strukovec (15), Mursko Sredisce (10), Cakovec (<10), and in Orebic on the Peljesac peninsula (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
