Jurič families are Croats and they are mostly from western Bosnia. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Western Bosnia (Tomislavgrad area) and in Western Bosnia (Livno area). In places Kuk and Eminovo Selo in Western Bosnia every fourth inhabitant had the family name Jurič.
Prevalence
About 420 people with faimily name Jurič live in Croatia today, in 180 households. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 33 cities and 37 other places, mostly in Zagreb (150), Cepin in Osijek area (30), Velika Gorica (20), Split (20), and in Zapresic (15).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over seventy times, the first time 1691 in source Catholic Church Parish Records.
