Jurasović families are almost entirely Croats and they are mostly from Nova Gradiska area , rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Nova Gradiska. In Brđani in Nova Gradiska area every tenth inhabitant had the family name Jurasović.
Prevalence
About 170 people with faimily name Jurasović live in Croatia today, in 60 households. There were 170 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 16 cities and 17 other places, mostly in Zagreb (40), Brdjani in Nova Gradiska area (20), Split (15), Loviste on the Peljesac peninsula (10), and in Sesvete (10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
