Ivoš families are Croats and they are mostly from middle Bosnia. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Middle Bosnia (Bugojno area) and in Zagreb. In places Goruša and Sebešić in Middle Bosnia every ninth inhabitant had the family name Ivoš.
Prevalence
About 410 people with faimily name Ivoš live in Croatia today, in 170 households. There were 280 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 40 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 33 cities and 37 other places, mostly in Zagreb (70), Kali on the Island of Ugljan (40), Zadar (40), Sesvete (25), and in Gornje Bazje in Virovitica area (25).

Family name Ivoš (including: Ivos , Iwos and Ivosh ) is present in three countries on two continents.
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
