Ivičević families are Croats and they are mostly from Ploce area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Middle Bosnia (Kresevo area) and in Bosanian Posavina (Derventa area). In Drežnice in Middle Bosnia every third inhabitant had the family name Ivičević.
Prevalence
About 180 people with faimily name Ivičević live in Croatia today, in 90 households. There were 210 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 20 percent. They are located in 10 Croatian counties, in 21 cities and 13 other places, mostly in Zagreb (25), Drvenik in Ploce area (25), Vis on the Island of Vis (20), Split (15), and in Rijeka (10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1928 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
