Husnjak families are Croats and they are mostly from Lepoglava. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Lepoglava and Varazdin. In places Podgorje Bednjansko and Bednja in Lepoglava area every tenth inhabitant had the family name Husnjak.

About 660 people with faimily name Husnjak live in Croatia today, in 290 households. There were 560 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 20 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 28 cities and 74 other places, mostly in Zagreb (150), Koprivnica (60), Bednja in Lepoglava area (35), Josipovac (30), and in Muricevec (25).
