In Croatia, Hrepić families are Croats (from the Island of Brac ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Split and on the Island of Brac. In Dol on the Island of Brac every eighth inhabitant had the family name Hrepić.
About 60 people with faimily name Hrepić live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 60 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in four Croatian counties, four cities and two other places, mostly in Split (55), Dol on the Island of Brac (<10), Cavtat in Dubrovnik area (<5), Stari Grad on the Island of Hvar (<5), and in Zagreb (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1917 in source List of Dignitaries, Officials and Public Servants of the Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia.
