Hasanović families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Samobor , often Bosniaks (from Bijelo Polje, Montenegro ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Samobor. In Gunjačići in Podrinje (Bosnia) nearly every inhabitant had the family name Hasanović.
Prevalence
About 370 people with faimily name Hasanović live in Croatia today, in 150 households. There were 110 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number more than tripled. They are located in almost all Croatian counties, in 46 cities and 44 other places, mostly in Zagreb (155), Petkov Breg (40), Pula (25), Rijeka (20), and in Sesvete (20).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1923 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
