Prevalence
About 30 people with faimily name Halagić live in Croatia today, in 8 households. There were 20 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 70 percent. They are only located in threee Croatian cities and threee other places, mostly in Zagreb (<10), Stari Mikanovci in Djakovo area (<10), Samobor (<5), Sas in Hrvatska Kostajnica area (<5), and in Donji Furjan (<5).

Family name Halagić is present in two countries on two continents.
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
