Hajdić families are Croats and they are mostly from the Island of Mljet. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Dubrovnik and on the Island of Mljet. In Babino Polje on the Island of Mljet every tenth inhabitant had the family name Hajdić.

They are located in 10 Croatian counties, in 14 cities and 16 other places, mostly in Babino Polje on the Island of Mljet (40), Split (25), Dubrovnik (20), Zagreb (15), and in Zadar (15).
