Grozdanić families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Skradin , often Serbs, very rarely Bosniaks (from east Herzegovina). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Otocac and Skradin. In Ponori in Otocac every third inhabitant had the family name Grozdanić.
Prevalence
About 610 people with faimily name Grozdanić live in Croatia today, in 310 households. There were 670 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 10 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 43 cities and 49 other places, mostly in Zagreb (95), Rijeka (90), Sibenik (45), Crikvenica (30), and in Osijek (30).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1917 in source List of Dignitaries, Officials and Public Servants of the Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia.
