About 270 people with faimily name Gajšak live in Croatia today, in 100 households. There were 350 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 20 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 10 cities and 32 other places, mostly in Zagreb (110), Kostel (20), Bregi Kostelski (15), Kostelsko (15), and in Police (10).
Outside Croatia
At least two families with this surname emigrated from Croatia to Germany (1) and the United States (1). Family name Gajšak (including: Gaysak , Galyshak and Gajsak ) is present in four countries.
