Furlić families are Croats and they are mostly from Valpovo area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Duga Resa area and in Osijek. In Donje Stative in Duga Resa area every seventh inhabitant had the family name Furlić.
Prevalence
About 70 people with faimily name Furlić live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 170 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased significantly. They are located in 6 Croatian counties, in 12 cities and 9 other places, mostly in Petrijevci in Valpovo area (20), Donje Stative in Duga Resa area (15), Karlovac (10), Zagreb (<10), and in Koska in Nasice area (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1933 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
