Fajdić families are Croats and they are mostly from Gospic. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Gospic and Koprivnica.
Prevalence
About 90 people with faimily name Fajdić live in Croatia today, in 40 households. There were 60 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 40 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 11 cities and four other places, mostly in Budak (30), Slavonski Brod (20), Koprivnica (10), Zagreb (<10), and in Gospic (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1925 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
