Dudaš families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Djakovo area , also Rusyns (from Vukovar area ) and Hungarians (from Beli Manastir area ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Osijek and Vukovar.
Prevalence
About 290 people with faimily name Dudaš live in Croatia today, in 130 households. There were 320 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 10 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 23 cities and 36 other places, mostly in Zagreb (20), Osijek (20), Vukovar (20), Suza in Beli Manastir area (20), and in Djakovo (15).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
