Dušić families are almost entirely Croats and they are mostly from Pazin area , rarely Italians. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Pula and in Pazin area. In Radoši kod Višnjana in Porec area every third inhabitant had the family name Dušić.
Prevalence
About 190 people with faimily name Dušić live in Croatia today, in 80 households. There were 150 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 30 percent. They are located in 9 Croatian counties, in 18 cities and 19 other places, mostly in Pula (20), Rovinj (15), Grabovac in Beli Manastir area (15), Grimalda in Pazin area (15), and in Rijeka (10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
