In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Osijek and in Middle Bosnia (Kakanj area). In Banjevac in Middle Bosnia every second inhabitant had the family name Drenić.
Prevalence
About 50 people with faimily name Drenić live in Croatia today, in 20 households. There were 20 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number more than doubled. They are located in 7 Croatian counties, in 8 cities and 7 other places, mostly in Zagreb (10), Osijek (10), Rijeka (<10), Cakovec (<5), and in Donji Miholjac (<5).
