Drandić families are almost entirely Croats and they are mostly from Rovinj area , rarely Italians (from Pula ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Pula and in Rovinj area. In places Krmed and Bale in Rovinj area every sixth inhabitant had the family name Drandić.
Prevalence
About 240 people with faimily name Drandić live in Croatia today, in 110 households. There were 200 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 20 percent. They are located in threee Croatian counties, in 8 cities and 15 other places, mostly in Pula (75), Bale in Rovinj area (50), Rovinj (40), Krmed in Rovinj area (25), and in Vodnjan in Pula area (15).
