Domić families are Croats and they are mostly from Bosnian Posavina. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Split and in Banja Luka Region, Bosnia (Banja Luka area).
Prevalence
About 560 people with faimily name Domić live in Croatia today, in 260 households. There were 310 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 80 percent. They are located in almost all Croatian counties, in 58 cities and 81 other places, mostly in Zagreb (85), Split (70), Slatine (40), Rijeka (15), and in Lekenik in Petrinja area (15).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over twenty times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
