Dobraš families are mainly Serbs and they are mostly from Daruvar area , but often Croats. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Daruvar area and in Zagreb. In places Dobra Kuća and Katinac in Daruvar area every fourth inhabitant had the family name Dobraš.
Prevalence
About 100 people with faimily name Dobraš live in Croatia today, in 60 households. There were 200 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number halved. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 19 cities and 17 other places, mostly in Zagreb (25), Daruvar (10), Katinac in Daruvar area (10), Velika Gorica (<10), and in Dobra Kuca in Daruvar area (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1917 in source List of Dignitaries, Officials and Public Servants of the Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia.
