Surname Džaferović in modern Croatia

Džaferović families are mainly Bosniaks and they are mostly from Semberija (Bosnia), whereas often Croats (from Bosnian Posavina ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and in Semberia, Bosnia (Bijeljina area). In Glogovac in Semberia (Bosnia) every seventh inhabitant had the family name Džaferović.

They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 17 cities and 17 other places, mostly in Zagreb (45), Moscenica (<10), Sisak (<10), Slavonski Brod (<5), and in Rovinj (<5).
