Cingulin families are Croats and they are mostly from Klanjec. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and in Slovenia. In Bratovski Vrh in Klanjec every eighth inhabitant had the family name Cingulin.
Prevalence
About 60 people with faimily name Cingulin live in Croatia today, in 20 households. There were 40 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 40 percent. They are located in four Croatian counties and 7 other places, mostly in Zagreb (20), Zapresic (10), Gredice (10), Kackovec in Zabok area (<10), and in Ledine Klanjecke (<10).

Family name Cingulin is present in this form only in Croatia.
