Buturajac families are Croats and they are mostly from Duga Resa area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Duga Resa area and in Karlovac. In places Vinski Vrh and Skupica in Duga Resa area every tenth inhabitant had the family name Buturajac.
Prevalence
About 70 people with faimily name Buturajac live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 20 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number more than tripled. They are located in four Croatian counties and 9 other places, mostly in Karlovac (30), Zagreb (<10), Jurovski Brod in Ozalj area (<10), Skupica in Duga Resa area (<10), and in Duga Resa (<10).

Family name Buturajac is present in two countries on two continents.
