Bulatović families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Novska , often Montenegrins (from Bijelo Polje, Montenegro ), very rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Pula.

About 120 people with faimily name Bulatović live in Croatia today, in 60 households. There were 60 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number doubled. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 20 cities and 6 other places, mostly in Zagreb (20), Split (15), Pula (15), Rijeka (10), and in Slavonski Brod (<10).
