Budiša families are usually Croats and they are mostly from Drnis area , rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Drnis area and in Split. In Cera in Drnis area every third inhabitant had the family name Budiša.
Prevalence
About 400 people with faimily name Budiša live in Croatia today, in 160 households. There were 200 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number doubled. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 27 cities and 35 other places, mostly in Split (95), Zagreb (55), Knin (20), Garjak (15), and in Kastel Stari (15).
