Brnabić families are Croats and they are mostly from the Island of Krk. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Rijeka and Split. In Stara Baška on the Island of Krk every fourth inhabitant had the family name Brnabić.
Prevalence
About 140 people with faimily name Brnabić live in Croatia today, in 70 households. There were 170 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 20 percent. They are located in 8 Croatian counties, in 14 cities and 14 other places, mostly in Rijeka (35), Split (30), Banjol on the Island of Rab (20), Stara Baska on the Island of Krk (15), and in Pula (<10).
