About 90 people with faimily name Brezovečki live in Croatia today, in 40 households. There were 70 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 40 percent. They are located in 10 Croatian counties, in 9 cities and 16 other places, mostly in Zagreb (20), Klostar Ivanic in Ivanic-Grad area (10), Sesvete (10), Ivanic-Grad (<10), and in Podgorje Bistricko in Zlatar area (<10).

Family name Brezovečki (including: Brezovecki , Berezowecki ) is present in three countries on two continents.
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
