Bralić families are Croats and they are mostly from Sinj area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Split and Sibenik. In Podumci in Drnis area every fourth inhabitant had the family name Bralić.
Prevalence
About 1200 people with faimily name Bralić live in Croatia today, in 510 households. There were 810 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 50 percent. They are located in almost all Croatian counties, in 43 cities and 62 other places, mostly in Split (195), Sicane in Sinj area (140), Sibenik (140), Kastel Stari (105), and in Zagreb (90).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1705 in source Catholic Church Parish Records.
