Brajković families are Croats and they are mostly from Skradin. According to some sources they are from Travnik (Bosnia). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Skradin and Zagreb. In places Dubravice and Lađevci in Skradin every fourth inhabitant had the family name Brajković.
Prevalence
About 2700 people with faimily name Brajković live in Croatia today, in 1100 households. There were 2200 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 20 percent. They are located in all Croatian counties, in 86 cities and 218 other places, mostly in Zagreb (385), Sibenik (135), Pula (130), Rijeka (110), and in Brajkovici (85).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over thirty times, the first time 1749 in source 18th Century Census.
