Bogetić families are Croats and they are mostly from the Island of Solta. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Split and in Djakovo area. In Srednje Selo on the Island of Solta every eighth inhabitant had the family name Bogetić.
Prevalence
About 90 people with faimily name Bogetić live in Croatia today, in 40 households. There were 90 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in 8 Croatian counties, in 11 cities and 8 other places, mostly in Split (20), Donji Andrijevci in Djakovo area (20), Zagreb (<10), Mokosica (<10), and in Slavonski Brod (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
