Biočić families are Croats and they are mostly from Imotski area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Split and in Imotski area. In Okrug Donji on the Island of Ciovo every second inhabitant had the family name Biočić.
Prevalence
About 490 people with faimily name Biočić live in Croatia today, in 190 households. There were 390 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 30 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 24 cities and 31 other places, mostly in Runovic in Imotski area (110), Kastel Sucurac (80), Split (50), Zagreb (40), and in Trogir (40).
