Prevalence
About 60 people with faimily name Bakulić live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 80 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 20 percent. They are only located in in 8 Croatian cities and two other places, mostly in Mirca on the Island of Brac (20), Split (15), Supetar on the Island of Brac (10), Sibenik (<10), and in Varazdin (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1928 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
