Bajrić families can be both Bosniaks (the family name originates from western Bosnia ) and Croats (from Cazinska Krajina Region, Bosnia), very rarely Roms (from middle Bosnia). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and in Cazins Region, Bosnia (Cazin area). In Dragovac in Middle Bosnia every second inhabitant had the family name Bajrić.
Prevalence
About 630 people with faimily name Bajrić live in Croatia today, in 230 households. There were 30 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in almost all Croatian counties, in 49 cities and 51 other places, mostly in Zagreb (210), Sesvete (160), Rijeka (30), Sisak (25), and in Pula (20).
