In Croatia, Badrić families are mainly Serbs, equally Croats (from the Island of Krk ), and barely Bosniaks. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Glina.
About 70 people with faimily name Badrić live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 110 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 40 percent. They are only located in in 9 Croatian cities and 5 other places, mostly in Zagreb (20), Dragotina (15), Sesvete (<10), Dabrina (<10), and in Velika Gorica (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1917 in source List of Dignitaries, Officials and Public Servants of the Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia.
