Badža families are predominantly Serbs and they are mostly from Obrovac , less frequently Croats. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Obrovac and in Virovitica area. In Bilišane in Obrovac every eighth inhabitant had the family name Badža.
Prevalence
About 100 people with faimily name Badža live in Croatia today, in 50 households. There were 60 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 60 percent. They are located in 7 Croatian counties, in 9 cities and 13 other places, mostly in Rijeka (15), Virovitica (10), Cepin in Osijek area (<10), Zadar (<5), and in Ernestinovo in Osijek area (<5).
