Andrijić families are Croats and they are mostly from the Island of Korcula. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born on the Island of Korcula and in Split.
Prevalence
About 170 people with faimily name Andrijić live in Croatia today, in 80 households. There were 80 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number doubled. They are located in 10 Croatian counties, in 11 cities and 13 other places, mostly in Blato on the Island of Korcula (60), Split (25), in Vela Luka (20) and Korcula (20) on the Island of Korcula, and in Zagreb (15).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over twenty times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
