Andrijašević families are usually Croats and they are mostly from Makarska , rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Makarska and Split. In Jelinak in Middle Bosnia every sixth inhabitant had the family name Andrijašević.
Prevalence
About 420 people with faimily name Andrijašević live in Croatia today, in 170 households. There were 400 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 23 cities and 21 other places, mostly in Makarska (120), Gradac in Ploce area (60), Split (55), Zagreb (30), and in Krvavica in Makarska area (30).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over twenty times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
