Surname Šišul in modern Croatia

In Croatia, Šišul families are almost entirely Croats (from Bakar ), barely Bosniaks (from Vrbovsko ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Middle Bosnia (Sarajevo area) and in Zagreb.

Family name Šišul (including: Sisul , Shishul and Sissul ) is present in five countries on four continents. The family name "Sisul " is used by some 300 people in the United States and about 200 in Paraguay.
