Prevalence
About 100 people with faimily name Šereg live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 40 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number more than doubled. They are located and 9 other Croatian places, mostly in Stuparje in Krapina area (50), Zagreb (25), Marijanci in Belisce area (<10), Sveti Ivan Zabno in Krizevci area (<10), and in Svedruza in Krapina area (<10).

Family name Šereg (including: Sereg , Sereghy and Shereg ) is present in 17 countries on four continents. The family name "Sereg " is used by some 600 people in Hungary , about 200 in Germany , and some 100 people in the United States. "Sereghy " is used by small number of people in Hungary , small number in the United States , and small number of people in Austria.
