In Croatia, Šeša families are predominantly Serbs, less frequently Croats (also from Knin area ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Knin area and in Rijeka. In Biovičino Selo in Knin area every twentieth inhabitant had the family name Šeša.
Prevalence
About 60 people with faimily name Šeša live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 10 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in 7 Croatian counties, in 9 cities and two other places, mostly in Biovicino Selo in Knin area (25), Rijeka (15), Zagreb (10), Zadar (<5), and in Krasica (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
