In Croatia, Šavrić families are generally Croats (from Kutina area ), very rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Makarska and Sisak.
Prevalence
About 20 people with faimily name Šavrić live in Croatia today, in 10 households. There were 40 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number halved. They are located in four Croatian counties, four cities and two other places, mostly in Popovaca in Kutina area (<10), Slavonski Brod (<10), Sisak (<10), Daruvar (<5), and in Senkovec in Zapresic area (<5).
