Šavor families are Croats and they are mostly from Novi Marof. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Varazdin and Zagreb.
Prevalence
About 140 people with faimily name Šavor live in Croatia today, in 60 households. There were 200 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 30 percent. They are located in 9 Croatian counties, in 13 cities and 11 other places, mostly in Zagreb (35), Karlovac (20), Novi Marof (10), Kljuc (10), and in Zavrsje Netreticko in Duga Resa area (<10).
