In Croatia, Đogo families are Croats by relative majority (from Middle Bosnia ), equally Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Benkovac and in Middle Bosnia (Ilijas area). In Donji Kašić in Benkovac every tenth inhabitant had the family name Đogo.
Prevalence
About 50 people with faimily name Đogo live in Croatia today, in 20 households. There were 40 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 40 percent. They are located in 9 Croatian counties, in 11 cities and four other places, mostly in Rijeka (20), Zagreb (<10), Dugo Selo (<5), Cernik in Rijeka area (<5), and in Pisak (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1926 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
