In Croatia, Čorković families are generally Croats (from Djakovo ), very rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Djakovo.
Prevalence
About 50 people with faimily name Čorković live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 80 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 40 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 16 cities and 10 other places, mostly in Zagreb (10), Djakovo (<10), Jazavica (<10), Voloder in Kutina area (<10), and in Pozega (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
