Čoh families are Croats and they are mostly from Pregrada area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and in Pregrada area. In Prišlin in Pregrada area every sixth inhabitant had the family name Čoh.
Prevalence
About 70 people with faimily name Čoh live in Croatia today, in 40 households. There were 120 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 40 percent. They are located in 6 Croatian counties, in 7 cities and 9 other places, mostly in Zagreb (30), Prislin in Pregrada area (20), Varazdin (<10), Sveti Ilija in Varazdin area (<5), and in Mali Tabor in Pregrada area (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over seventy times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
