Surname Čikara in modern Croatia

Čikara families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Sinj area , often Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Slunj area and in Sinj. In Lička Jesenica in Slunj area every eighth inhabitant had the family name Čikara.
